We will have to agree to disagree here Eternium. Before 2015 ends, Uptown Funk will benefit from 04 July Holiday Weekend, Labor Day Holiday Weekend, the MTV VMAs, the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend, the American Music Awards, Cyber Monday, Grammy Nominations, Christmas Gift Cards, and likely multiple performances toward the end of the year, since the song will almost certainly be the #1 song of 2015 across the board. And airplay will go way up for this song for the last couple of weeks of 2015 probably through the first week of 2016.
Then in 2016 there's left over gift cards, the Grammy's, the 2016 BBMAs (remember we're over 1/4 through that tracking period, and Uptown Funk is still #6; it will likely stay on the Hot 100 through the Grammy's).
I think UF will reach 7 million right before Thanksgiving, be around 7.15 million to start off 2016, reach 7.65 million by mid 2016, and 8-8.1 million/Party Rock Anthem sales levels by the end of 2016. That would put UF in the Top 3 to Top 5, because it would pass CMM, Radioactive, STIUTK, and maybe PRA.
Nothing is a given, but the longer people see UF on the Hot 100, the longer people will continue buying it, and the slower the song will descend down the charts.
