Love Me Like You Do has toppled Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk from the Number 1 spot, ending its seven-week reign.
Congratulations to Ellie Goulding who has scored the fastest-selling single of the year so far with Love Me Like You Do, racking up a combined chart sales total of more than 172,000.
The track, which is lifted from the soundtrack to the upcoming Fifty Shades Of Grey film, went head-to-head with seven-week Official Singles Chart topper Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk FT Bruno Mars (Number 2 today) this week, outselling the song by over 87,000 copies at the final whistle.
Love Me Like You Do marks Goulding’s 15th UK Top 40 single and second Number 1, following 2013’s Burn.
