Simon Cowell could quit the UK X Factor for a second time to relaunch his American version of the show.
He is close to having the US show recommissioned for 2015 after it was dropped from the schedules this year because of plunging ratings.
Executives at his company Syco are in the final stages of securing a deal – most likely back with Fox – after staff put together a new proposal which has been “well received”.
It means Simon, 55, who returned to the British judging panel this year with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, may leave the UK – as he did in 2010 when the US show first launched.
He is believed to be eager to sign up singer Nicole Scherzinger, 36, who was a judge on the UK show for two series.
Before that, she replaced Cheryl, 31, on the US show in 2011 when Simon sensationally axed the former Girls Aloud singer after just three auditions.
he better do it right htis time! get Pink, get la reid back and get Mary J Blidge,Cheryl or Alicia Keys and the show will do good
also get a really good host. He should just bring Dermot to the US tbh..Mario was really weird and fake looking/sounding. get a better voice over guy! the voice over ugy is a big part of the x factor and the US got this voice over guy who sounds like he permanently has a cold or something
