Hello! I have decided to review an amazing album of one of my favorite artists in the last year, Emile Sandé. This review was originally posted on my blog, but I wanted to share it with you guys, all the ATRL readers! Emile is one of the most talented artists in the last few years. She performed at the Royal Albert hall, conquered UK and the heart of all her listeners, including me! Emile is one of those artists that I believe that were born to sing. This list includes Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Whitney and names which are that big! I have decided to build this review a bit different than we are used to! I will talk about the album in general and mention the things I think we need to put in mind while discussing about it and of course will share the album pearls with you so you will be able to do the full research yourself and enjoy!
------------------------
I think that in Our Version of Events we are able to see an amazing talent of a singer with a great voice and abilities. She released an amazing album, full of freshness from the outside music in the last year in the UK specifically. Emile opened the album with energetic song called "Heaven" which is one of my favorite songs in the album. The song is full of meaning and style, and the colors and the video are just great! Emile exposes for the first time her unique voice and tone through the song.
After Heaven comes and amazing song called "My Kind Of Love". This song exposes Emile amazing ability to excite and create some really emotional songs. Both this track and "Heaven" are singles from her album.
After a few powerful songs called "Where I sleep" and "Mountains" which I really recommend you to hear comes Clown, which is probably her best song from her debut album, full of vocal power and durability Sandé released one of the best musical performances in a music video and a song! It's really good!
Daddy, the song came afterwards wasn't a song I would tell you to miss! It's really catchy and fun song to hear. Emile proves she is able to create any song, even not a powerful ballad and to put her unique voice and musical touch in it to make it close to perfect. "Maybe" the song after "Daddy" is pretty nice, yet to quiet, and I don't really know what can I tell more about it. "Suitcase", the song comes afterwards, is pretty different and shows a different musical style of hers.
"Breaking The Law" is another track from the album, which is really unique, yet, isn't for everyone. Afterwards comes "Next To Me", one of the most beautiful songs I have heard. This song is a must hear! I really recommend it to everyone, if those who don't hear music and this kind of music on daily basis!
"River" is an amazing song that comes at 11 place in the album ordered list of songs. This song is really good, it's a soulful ballad contains all the good a singer can give in a song! The other part of the album is less interesting in my opinion, because it's really similar to the first part. A few songs I recommend you to hear from it are "Hope" and "Easier In Bed" which caught my attention!
Don't forget to listen to it and tell me what you think!
I must say, for all the stick ATRL gives Emeli, what with people saying she's only filling Adele's hole etc, she is actually a very talented songwriter. Very 'fresh'.

Thanks sis!
I am glad you enjoyed the review, and I agree, she is not filling any hole, she stands for herself!
