It started off on Kendrick's "Control" verse where he called out some rappers and said he was coming for their crown. He made the verse because he felt that rap was losing the competitive edge.

Some rappers responded on scratch and in interviews & left it alone. Drake responded in some interviews but it felt more like a whiny, passive aggressive response than a competitive one.

Even as a Drake fan I can admit that he had this coming. That said, this "diss" (if you can even really call it that) is weak especially for Kendrick's normal standards. Like, literally high-fiving someone mid-verse? Really?
