I was just wondering, are Beats by Dre really worth it? A lot of people I know go on about them like they're a ****ing wet dream or something, so I was just kinda looking for other opinions - I was gonna buy some when I go to university but if they're not worth it, then obviously I won't.
No? I'm surprised people still actually buy those. They're overpriced trash. For $300 you get a cheap, plastic body that breaks after 6 months, and $10 drivers that sound worse than the fake Beats. You get average mids and highs that are overshadowed by poor quality, muddy bass.
Buy a real pair of headphones like Sennheiser, Denon, AKG, Grado, Audio-Technica...
Absolutely not, they're grossly overpriced and the quality of them is painfully average. I bought a pair a year or so back and they broke within two days. Got a refund for that **** and there's no way I'd waste my money on them again.
Yes and no. I have beats and I love them (don't listen to people saying they break easy because they don't, only if you're stupid and careless with them, even though I've thrown them around loads and they're fine) but you can get same quality headphones for a cheaper price. I paid for the brand and the look of them really, but they're effective.
Yes, if you like to spend money on the brand name.
I recently brought blue headphones.
And they are great.
I recently got the pink pill last week.
And the sound travel so smoothly and loud.
Overall if you like great sound and loud music go with beats.
They are worthy it.

Mine never left the house and they still broke the plastic they're made from is incredibly thin and flimsy compared to other headphones brands.
No they really aren't. I bought the SOLO HD ones which were £180/$220 and I sorta regret it. I barely listen to music and when I do it's in my car.. it's certainly a fashion accessory though, people wanna borrow it just to put around their neck
If you're looking to impress like people still care about them, then sure go ahead and buy it. Otherwise, a little research and you'll find better quality, more durable and budget-leaning headphone.
Surprised at the comments here..
I've owned my Beat Studios for 2 years now and it's still in wonderful condition and so loud and makes you hear songs in a different way since it's much more clear.
But then again i've only owned 2 expensive headphones, Bose Q3 and Beats Studios.
I payed like 100 for the second version of Heartbeats and I would say they were defianitly worth it. But I bought a pair of the over ear beats for around 300 and I don't think it was worth it.
