Well, at first she wasn't technically, but with Unbroken, she kinda is. Hopefully DEMI can change this, and DEMI improved her worldwide status a bit.

But that is true for all artists, what scares me is that they never really seem to stabalize and simply plummet.

To prove what I said, her first album went gold with no top 40 singles and no radio singles and her second album went #1 and gold (shipped) with 1 single not sent to radio (#15)

The whole sales etc is to do with her label, not her so she would get labelled dependent on where her sales are strongest is beyond me

She's only on her third legit single. It's too early to tell. But generally, true singles artists don't even scan more than 200,000, MAYBE 300,000. So, I wouldn't ever consider her a pure singles artist. She's no Flo Rida. Plus, pure singles artists tend to have better digital sales.

Selena isn't nothing yet as well. Unless they prove longevity in the Top 10, 2 singles in a row and have 2 platinum albums twice a row in the US then we may label them. Right now, both are nothing yet.

Absolutely not, because if you've seen Selena's performances they aren't particularly good. At least prior to this era.
