i've been thinking this movie would be a piece of crap til I saw this trailer.

I am actually somewhat excited for it now.

Wow, it looks really good to me. I like the way Superman has a reminscent look and sound (when he says 'Hello' to Lois' kid) to the original, and Kevin Spacey has that same reminiscence of the original Lex and even though the farm and Lex's baldness are a factor of the originals they also remind me of Smallville. It's also good that they're not going back to the past or re-doing anything, the continuation does justice by leaving what was well done alone and keeping it going and having Marlon Brando in it keeps the actual connection to the previous films.

There's the spark, but at the same time..."so what?" I've seen the origins of Clark Kent and Superman SEVERAL times already! - (Comic Books, Cartoons, the original movie) But then again, it looks like they put some appealing spins on this from looking at the trailer. I'll be catching this one anyways. I think this one could top DaVinci's latest box office record.
