This is true. And I'm sure just like any show of this kind, there are episodes that are real and some that are fake/scripted (like that one with the bitch in the red dress ![rip](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif) ).
I actually felt really bad during this episode though. I don't know what it was, but my TL was lit up with homophobic remarks during this ep. It's sad because this is the kind of stuff that gives geighs a bad name. ![shake no](images/smilies/images/smilies/shakeno.gif) But I can't even blame it on MTV for airing it since the show's cast has been so diverse. ![Doc](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/doc_zpsc886535c.gif)

Totally agree. There is ZERO excuse for the levels of homophobia displayed on social media last night in response to that episode.
It's unfortunate, because this is a case where Aaron
happened to be gay, but the much deeper problem was his underlying identity crisis and self-esteem issues. That could have happened to anyone. He was just a lost young gay man who had not found his adulthood or his place in the world. A lot of students in college are experiencing that feeling. It sucks, no doubt.
Which is the crux of this show in general, in kind of exploits people with deep-rooted psychological/rationale problems and their emotional desire to be someone or something else, something they are not/will never be and to not be alone...which everyone can relate to (loneliness) I think.
Now, I kind of look at this show with a love-hate relationship and it makes me question Nev's intentions for doing it. He laughs through most of these people's ordeals and then gets serious when it's time to confront the subject, and real lives get "ruined" or messed up.
Too little too late in my opinion.
