Rihanna aggravating staffers: They're ready to quit

Quote:
Rihanna staffers are leaking to the press that they are fed up with the 24 year-old singer’s antics and are set to hit the road, according to the N.Y. Daily News today. A source in Rihanna’s camp claims fans and friends have been “questioning” her behavior lately as well. “She’s always been unpredictable, but it’s worse than ever”, the source said. Another source is saying that “the Chris Brown situation” has exacerbated her tardy tendencies, adding Rihanna is unable to “be on time…to anything”, including meetings she’s already cancelled and rescheduled. She even blew off mentor Jay-Z at his “40/40” nightclub party in NYC to celebrate the release of her new album “Unapologetic” Tuesday. This after he recently warned Chris Brown about Rihanna, and wife Beyonce spoke out about her downward spiraling behavior.
One angry staffer confided that often Rihanna will commit to an event and then show up two hours late. “She puts her family and [Brown] above everything else…it really can affect relationships and commitments, and make her and everyone else look bad. People are fed up”, the insider said.
The Provence even wrote today that, “Rihanna may be unapologetic about her recent actions, but her camp is pointing the finger at woman-beater, Chris Brown”. The source is saying that several in Rihanna’s camp are actively looking for new jobs, and plan to jump ship as soon as they land one.
At last Tuesday’s record release party the R&B singer was so late that Jay-Z, head of her record label, left 45 minutes before the singer managed to make it to her own party. Her recent “777” tour was a debacle as well.
Rihanna was harshly criticized by the media for constantly being late, and failing to spend enough time with the press and fans on board the private jet that whisked them along on the mini-tour. She finally caved in and actually did issue an ironic apology for her actions in an interview with BBC’s Radio 1.
Rihanna explained that she barely had time to sleep during the ambitious tour which saw her perform seven concerts in seven countries over seven days. “Sometimes it was a two-hour ride to the next country and that was all the sleep you would get”, she said.
Rihanna went on to say she had to, “use her time wisely”, adding, “I didn't go crazy. I didn't party too hard. I knew I had seven countries and seven shows and I had to save my voice”, she said.
Meanwhile back in October when Rihanna and Chris Brown attended one of their first public outings since allegedly reconciling, a Jay-Z concert at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the rapper mogul gave Brown a stern warning.
Jay-Z reportedly pulled Chris aside and advised the 23 year-old that he would “finish him” if he ever hurts Rihanna again. Now most likely what he meant was hurt in the literal sense. But what about if Brown is hurting Rihanna’s career, something Jay-Z has a financial stake in?
Just one week earlier, Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce was said to have given up on Rihanna and her out of control antics. Although still expressing genuine concern for the young singer, Beyonce felt she was “beyond saving”.
She supposedly said further that Rihanna was hurting others because she just won’t grow up, and was pushing Jay-Z to distance himself from her. The general consensus seems to be that the “Diamonds” singer’s decent into her now good-girl gone bad image is a direct result of her affiliation with Chris Brown.
One mistake Rihanna would do well not to make is to piss off too many of those in the industry who after all, are somewhat responsible for her continued success. The cheese never stands alone, so the saying goes.
Burning bridges with fans, record execs, or the media can’t be easily overcome with a heavily image-laden musical career. Especially one that lacks the raw true vocal talent of someone say like Adele or Pink.
Do you think Rihanna and Chris Brown can maintain their successes using their bad-ass images?
