Im just a bit puzzled by this PIPA/SOPA situation at the moment, other than legal music video channels from youtube such as youtube/ personal sites but seeing that youtube is known for having the most illegal videos/ music lyric videos without the artists permission, uploading songs when they have leaked from a unreleased album,etc. what would happen to youtube??
Would they just take legal action to those individual members or would youtube as a whole be shut down??

Im ****ing angry about this! For me youtube is only place to promote my remixes and stuff... And actually those illegal uploaded songs and videos, remixes, lyrics videos - they make artists even popular....
And well if they will "clean" internet from copyright material... well it could be end of whole internet, cause lets face it we all use copyright material and not everyone have enought money to buy their favorite songs...

It's "postponed" as of now, which means it will probably show up again later.

Well if youtube will be deleted or no, I don't know but Im already posting my work in other place so that if anything happens to youtube, at least my videos are save.

But the record industry already has deals with Youtube. Who is going to put in a complaint against them? All of the labels make millions from Youtube! SOPA won't be there to randomly shut **** down. It's there as a tool for company's like the record company's to stop their products being marketed without their permission or sold/downloaded illegally preventing them from bringing in the maximum revenue. They make millions from contracts with Youtube. It's safe even if this stupid law does pass.

Even if SOPA had been past in it's current state, it would only be able to shut Youtube down if The Copyright holders filed a suit, which obviously the record companies would have no intention of doing.
