The thing about it is, "I Believe in You", though fantastic, couldn't compete with the last two tracks from Kanye and Gaga. I'm curious how the results might have swayed had one of Kylie's earlier tracks been used for this round. I would have liked for her to win. I have no problem with Kanye or Gaga taking the title, but I do feel as though they are predictable victors. Rightful victors in most respects, but soooooo expected.

Here's the thing -
I Believe in You and
All The Lovers were actually tied; I "flipped a coin" and ATL went first. I think if it had gone the other way, she would not have made it to Round Four. (And Florence would have - you would love that!
)
Let's do the top two together? Maybe I had my stan goggles on, but I was truly shocked by the trajectory of the runner-up ...
Kanye West came out of round one like a bat out of hell, dominating with
Monster - but, truth be told, his week was the weakest of all ten; hell, Maroon 5 advanced from that week two. I wasn't sure if he had the stuff, and never being a fan of
Jesus Walks, I was really taken aback when it did so well. On the opposite side of the coin,
Flashing Lights is the best thing he's ever done, and nothing made me happier than seeing that you all agreed with me.
Paranoid, though underrated, almost did the trick for him. He finishes in
.
