I think he is. He is in the top 5 most powerful in the whole series and has one of the best moves/magic, plus a "mysterious" personality/aura.

There are way better characters. I prefer Gildarts or Erza. I like him tho.


And as of power, he's no way in the top 5 most powerful human characters, let alone overall characters. Zeref, END, August, Eileen, Gildarts, Gray..etc are all stronger. And if we're to include Demons, Mard Geer would wipe the floor with him. And any dragon/god can easily defeat him since he has no dragon slayer nor god slayer magic.

Girl why are you including villains? And Gray? Jellal even had one of the 1st positions in the Wizard Saints /Magic Council. Gray is just a fad that will get crushed by END in the next chapters.

Not nearly. The only good characters are Lucy and Happy. Both had GREAT character development. Oh and Wendy also.
