This is such a ****ing overstatement. Maybe GaGa is the most severe with her album drama, but I haven't witnessed Rihanna or Britney committing enough tactics for you to type such a thing. This whole "LFN" mess of lazily adding Missy on the remix, then discounting it, then discounting the original is enough tactic within one week to make Mariah Carey's past look bad, let alone against one a piece remix spectacles from Rih/Brit. The "E.T." remix was also a tactic, whether you agree or not. And Katy has been slashing prices this entire era.

No one really should criticize any artist, especially when a hand select of Katy stans trashed "S&M"/"TTWE" remixes when it happened, and now are in this predicament. Labels will do what needs to be done. No one's pressed here, I don't think. The situation is just laughable.

It doesn't matter WHO the remix was with because the song still got a FRONT PAGE AD, which is what? Promotion. NOTHING is going to get ugly in here, because you Katy stans can only defend Katy with her single sales which make her album sales look even more dismal. Last time I checked Katy was ahead in US album sales of most other pop girls.

She's nearing 2 million in the US and 4 million ww. Could be better, sure. But dismal? Haha, you're so pressed.

The E.T. remix was released since beginning and sold 4,7 million copies and spend 5 weeks at #1. Who cares? other remixes could never.

California Gurls was discounted when already peaked at charts and sold over 4 million. Who cares?

Because MLJ and Lighter is still behind LFN on radio, and i don't think PRA can get another week at #1 ..

The sales gap between PRA and LFN is still bigger that the radio gap and the discount might help the song to sell a few more copies but its very unlikely it can surpass PRA. And LFN might start falling on the radio so the airplay gap will be smaller. Honestly this discount only works against the free-fall of the remix nothing else.
