You are registered on a POP MUSIC WEB FORUM. A web forum that was originated off of a TV show that Britney happened to be a staple of. OF COURSE Britney is going to be saved on here because she has a big fanbase on here. Just because at least 50% of your music taste is bands and alternative rock/indie doesn't mean you're statement is valid. Circus wasn't even in the bottom two. Avril and Britney are the only pop songs remaining because you and the rest of the alternative rock stans punched out everything else. The majority of people on this site love pop music. It's not our fault the games section is the only place where you alternative rock stans can supposedly "take control" and murder all these pop girls and boys and groups because you can't STAND them being talked about everywhere else. Literally, I see your bullying ass go into the Charts and say that all the songs suck. NO ****, because you're an obvious alternative rock stan who can't stand 99.9% of the artists ATRL member stan for.
This section is the only bubble you have to act like an asshole to people and then you act like a fake ass nice ass bitch in the Best Of's because it's in the rules to be nice to people in that section.
Seriously, why do you even bother being on this site if you complain about the genre of music this site was founded on?
Just go away. You're worse than all the ATRLers that call twinks Daddy.

But in all seriousness, you both are right in some ways. Ghostly has a right to say his opinion, but I can understand Ghostly's complaining getting aggravating to some members, especially when it can be incessant.
On the other hand, MLD, you sometimes do the same thing whenever a song that you think is "trash" makes it far in a game. However, I do see your point with Ghostly on how ATRL's roots stem from a pop music forum

Yeah...
Circus was the first one to get saved so I don't know what that post was all about.
The 'only on ATRL' wasn't necessary, that's making it seem like Britney is some sort of novelty act like Psy or LMFAO. We're not comparing Rebecca Black to Michael Jackson here . Just because Californication is an older rock song doesn't mean it's automatically better. Circus is one of her best songs but I doubt Ghostly would be happy about any Britney song getting saved over an alternative/rock song. She might release some singles that people don't like but she's a versatile artist and she definitely does make good music. Just because she makes pop doesn't mean it's all **** songs with dumb lyrics. She's talented and people call her a legend for a reason. I agree with MLD on some of his points. It's the only pure pop song here so there's really nothing to complain about. This is a pop music forum so I'm really not surprised a pop song got saved. There's a good balance in the games section and it's not always pop songs winning.
