Me too tbh. Also i'd include streaming and ****. I'd make it Artist-focused not Label-focused.
Probelm is, i have no idea how the charts work in this. And, in general, everything. For example, how do those game avoid sales getting exponential?
Imagine an artist debuts at #1 with 200k. Then the artist releases a new single that debuts at #1 but since the hype is huge, it debuts with 400k. Then the hype is even bigger, and it gets 800k.
1600k, 3200k, 6400k and soon you absolutely dominate the chart.
In real life it's not like this, even for the biggest artists out there. Taylor went 1-1-6-1-15, not 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1.
Charts are also very complex. There are a lot of anomalies, such as We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow debuting at #9 and then falling. Or CFMF and Cheerleader keep exchanging places. Songs have different runs. HIAM debuted at #1 and quickly fell, while Sail stayed 80 weeks and only peaked in the top 20. How do games handle all of this.
The GUI part (making menus, buttons that do stuff etc) isn't that hard. I can make that. But i have *no* idea how to simulate the charts.
Sorry for the rant. This has been on my mind for a long time.
