OT: I don't know, not sure that's even true. LM are more established as a group (sales, recognition,...) but Worth It blew up and honestly was bigger than any LM song (worldwide). If you'd get on the street and ask who LM or 5H were, I'm sure more people will at least have heard of LM but if you'd play Worth It and any song of LM, most will recognize Worth It so stop downplaying the other group's successes cause they both still have a long way to go actually. They're pretty much in the same boat, it's hard enough for girl groups out there
It doesn't matter because Little Mix are far more successful and global at the end of the day. 5H stans are to be expected in a board with so many American users
Not to mention, there's a big market for girl groups in the UK....they've always been prevalent there. That combined with their win on TXF, a huge show in the UK and big label support shows that they had a much easier start than 5H.
TXF was not a very big show here in the US, there was no market for girl groups, and they didn't have a ton of label support coming off of the show. It was an uphill battle for them, and that made their success so impressive.
And the point is?
You should not discount the success of Little Mix in the UK and other countries because the 'UK market is supportive of girl groups' or that 'The X Factor UK was a bigger platform.' Remember the last successful UK girl group pre-Little Mix and excluding the powerful Girls Aloud was The Saturdays alone! And all the other girl groups just did not do so well until Little Mix.
5H's climb has been impressive. Let's give it to them. But Little Mix have the sales, the arena tours and the endorsements as well. Worth It is one of the biggest songs of the summer, but until 5H can outsell LM overall and do arena tours then they're still not on the same level as to the money they bring to the label - which at the end of the day is the most important thing to keep both group's longevity.
They're both doing well though. 5H are bound to get bigger with their second album, and Little Mix are getting more love from the US audience via Black Magic. Everyone's a winner! Everyone's doing well! Their label is happy!
Also, it's not Little Mix's fault their team, Modest Management, has been doing a great job promoting them in the UK, continental Europe, Japan and Australia. If anything, Faculty Management (5H's management) should learn from LM's promotions and management work.
Frankly 5H has come farther and shows much more star potential than LM ever has. Even if ALL the numbers don't back 5H now, they're only on their first album...the second album will likely solidify why 5H is preferred more than LM. I'm willing to argue that without 5H restoring the US's interest in girl groups here, that 'Black Magic' wouldn't even be the slow burning Top 40 hit it is slowly becoming.
5H is also a trillion times more relatable. Their growing number of endorsements supports this.
Gurl whatever. 5H only even exist because of Little Mix. They stole everything about their X Factor story, right even to changing their name in the middle of the competition.
This site is also full of mindless, shallow young gays. 5H are inherently more sexual (not naturally so, but as a cheap ploy to garner sales) so the gays on here flock to that more than the positive image LM have. Little Mix have carved out their own unique sound in the industry and crafted a positive image built on their vocal talent while 5H follows trends. The only reason they even have the success they do right now it because of the blatant Talk Dirty copy. Of course it will do well on US radio when it already smashed the year before.
The amount of personal insults and flat-out fact denial I've seen in so many posts since I last posted here last night... Some people either must be very insecure in their opinion or VERY pressed (likely both), because so many posts in here have been ridiculous

I've started using FH songs but Lauren can't sing, their live performances are rubbish (and they lip sync a fair amount) and personally, I find none of them good looking. Little Mix makes better music, vocally superior and have a stupendous stage presence with their dancing and live vocals skills.
But like many people said, American dominated forum with a girl who tries to be Beyoncé, so everyone stans.
You know I love you but the amount of lies.
Lauren is probably the best singer in the group. Regarding the performances, I guess you've only seen their Worth It ones. Most of them had heavy backing vocals or lypsincing but weren't rubbish, that's rude. I know you said personally but I think they're all beautiful women, in different degrees. Better music? Subjective. For me is the other way around. The only thing I support is about the performance skills, even though "stupendous" is still a bit of a reach.
Anyway, I don't get the logic on ATRL that to like one you have to bring down the other. Even though I prefer 5H, both groups are good or they wouldn't have made it as far to have success and their own achievements either in the US, UK or other countries.

I wasn't trying to discredit LM's success, I'm just saying that 5H had a harder time starting since girl groups were absent in the US when they started. So of course its going to take them longer to build a fanbase and get big, but they've been consistently growing and doing a fantastic job. Overall, it is harder in the US for a girl group than it is in the UK.
Also, I don't think endorsements is really a good receipt for success, that's an optional thing. 5H also has endorsements with Candie's and Clean & Clear.
