Demi is oversinging like Xtina but I wouldn't say she is Xtina-inspired. It's clear she's inspired by Kelly and aims to follow her footsteps, but it's coming off as forced.
Christina is one of her music idols and she had a "Christina Aguilera-inspired" song, "Warrior", on her album.
I expect Florence to continue to be ignored as a possibility, but I will put up these videos in the hope those who ignore it can at least put their objections to her being in the running in writing: the only argument posted was not convincing at all, since Florence sounds very similar in a live setting to her studio performances, except perhaps for her high register.
Kelly Clarkson stays ******** on all of the others.
Below her, are Bey, Adele, and P!nk.
And at some of you saying Xtina. Maybe 10 years ago, but all she does now is over sing everything. The girl does not know what subtlety means. It doesn't matter how much power you have in your voice, if you don't know how to control it properly.
I disagree. Beyonce can mix better, but Kelly's tone when in head voice is just heavenly, warm and buttery.
You prefer her tone, I get that, but Beyoncé's head voice has more weight and is more agile, it's siren-like. Plus Bey is in full control of her dynamics so she's able to use it better.
You guys can criticize a lot of things about Demi's voice, but certainly not her belting. It's powerful, resonant and efforthless. She uses the right technique and that's why it doesn't damage her voice even though she belts a lot. Even when she's sick she can belt decently.
You guys can try to call it shouting in your ignorance, but if she did shout she wouldn't have a voice nowadays, especially not when once upon a time she was belting (or as your call it "shouting") and throwing up every day.
Shall I post videos from her current or last era to disprove your theories? You can start by watching any Heart Attack or Give Your Heart A Break performances.
Not you a Rihanna Stan coming after Demi for being PITCHY?
YES Demi is one of the best vocalists today, not only her impressive and powerful vocals back her up but her tone and way of emoting blows everyone away.
BTW Demi's vocals have been always praised ever since she started her music career... Trust me that is something all Demi stans have to deal with on a daily basis
