Adele and Katy have stomped all over Gaga, Brit and Bey.
BTW couldn't live up to the expectations that The Fame left us waiting for...
FF is Brit's most auto-tuned/generic album to date.
4 is ok, but that's about it, the album is simple, and she uses her powerful voice, it's a nice listen, but nothing more, plus it doesn't help that her first 2 singles are the only bad songs from the album.

I was with you until you said Katy.
No one will remember her in 10 years.

Girl no. People don't even remember to buy Katy's album.

Not to mention RTW had the most memorable live performance of the last damn century.

When you can objectively view and talk about Beyonce's career, then we can talk sweetie.
Besides, with all that promotion Beyonce did for RTW, it should actually be higher. #OOP

Lists made by critics. They might be timeless for the critics, but do the general audience even remember who the **** India. Arie is?

I included FF b/c FF, BTW & 4 were the 3 albums that were discussed and argued over endlessly on ATRL in terms of how they'd do in 2011. Few people talked about 21 until it started becoming a phenomenon.

Nobody even watched the Billboard Awards, much less the performance that supposedly everyone remembers.

No.
No.
No.
Katy's may have scored four #1s off of Teenage Dream, but the album itself will not be remembered unless people start buying it. The fact that Born This Way has already outsold it is just embarrassing. BTW has three top 10 hits (one is a flop), and two smash hits. Though Gaga might have screwed it up with You and I, the fact is people already know the album more than Teenage Dream
And yes, Adele will be remembered for her slayage

The fact that it is the most viewed video of the albums in here and it came out last.

This. People who watched the Billboard Awards probably remembered Britney's performance more than Beyonce's alleged performance...

Don't do that. They will tell you none of these albums are classic, I remember a Brit's stan saying in the other thread that Nas was nobody's legend, just a local HipHop act.

But seriously I don't think these albums are going to be remembered like that, it will just be one era in their career. It takes A LOT for an album to be remembered, even more than it takes for an artist to be a legend. We don't have that many legendary albums: Little Jagged Pill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, the two Suke posted, The Blueprint, All Eyes On Me, The Joshua Tree.
I mean how many of you can name a James Brown's album, Ray Charles, Elvis, Barbara Streisand's on top of your head?

Even if the era isn't over the people who said it already heard the album. :scary:
If Criminal, Inside Out or whatever they decide to release next is a hit it'll be just that, a hit. Odds of it making the album more memorable are unlikely.

No, just no. The performances, critical acclaim, the (future) awards will keep it afloat, even for a flop

HIAM will be remembered for the epic dubsteap breakdown. RTW will be remembered for sounding exactly like another song and not getting sued.
