Me:Those were No Secrets & Crazy Town each dropping 1 spot. Later today, Crazy Town's Shifty will host and Amerie takes her turn as the local mermaid. Anyway, Christina Milian continues to work wonders but doesn't play nice in the unknown adventure right now(REMEMBER, it's very serious!) Here's AM 2 PM up 3 to #13.
13. Christina Milian "AM 2 PM" (41, 2)+3
12. Christina Milian "Get Away" (97, 18@1)+

3. Ja Rule Featuring Ashanti "Mesmerize" (21, 9@1)-1
Me:Ja Rule falls to his lowest since last week. Mesmerize drops 1 to #3. It's Ashanti v.s. Amerie for #1 and Amerie's big movements kept her going but with the jump of the day being only 4 spots, Amerie wins.

Airplay Chart For 1/10
LL Cool J/Amerie "Paradise"
Avril Lavigne "I'm With You"
Disturbed "Remember"
Amerie "Talkin To Me"
Michelle Branch "Here With Me"
Vivian Green "Emotional Rollercoaster"
Jennifer Lopez/LL Cool J "All I Have"
Ashanti "Baby"
Ja Rule Featuring Ashanti "Mesmerize"
On The Bubble:
3LW "Neva Get Enuf"
Dana Glover "Thinking Over"
Breaking Benjamin "Polyamorus"
Crazy Town "Drowning"
The Exies "My Goddess"
Close Calls:
Amerie "Can't Let Go" (30, 6)
Chevelle "Send The Pain Below" (20, 7)
Christina Aguilera "Beautiful" (37, 11)-5
Nelly "Air Force Ones" (25, 3)
Fabolous "This Is My Party" (34, 1@1)
Crazy Town "Drowning" (45, 2@1)-11
Me:No time for the mermaid to be here. Here is the countdown. We have a return on the show which means adios to Christina Aguilera "Beautiful". But first, here's Vivian Green taking a nosedive.
25. Vivian Green "Emotional Rollercoaster" (9, 1@1)-18
Her rollercoaster has been really emotional the last 4 shows. From top to bottom in this short time.
24. Eminem "Superman" (2, 24)+1
Album of the year according to just about everybody. Superman is the 5th joint from that album called "The Eminem Show".
23. Music From The Sega Saturn Video Game:Sega Rally Championship "Getting Muddy" (7, 16)RETURN
One of the more oddball debuts of 2002. This is the only song from a video game to ever appear on the countdown(not including Breaking Benjamin's Polyamorous)
22. Breaking Benjamin "Polyamorous" (14, 3)+1
Dropped from #3-#23 but is now fighting back. The video game featured is Run Like Hell for a certain game console.
21. DJ Encore Featuring Engelina "I See Right Through To You" (29, 1@1)+1 *Retires In 6 Days*
This was up and down on the countdown the first 15 days of its run. Will this reach #1 again?
Me:On the way we've got Shania Twain, No Secrets and The Vines taking a serious fall. Don't go away.
*break*
Me:The top 20 is off to a "good" start. Shania Twain has given us all she had when her joint "IGGG" debuted. It took a while to find a rhythm but now she has found it. We're premiering "Up!" next week.
20. Shania Twain "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" (41, 4@1)+1
She was my first favorite female singer and she is still one of my all-time favorites. "Up" will be premiered on January 15, 2002 when she'll be here to deliver it.
19. The Vines "Outtathaway" (40, 2@1)-13
The Vines have dropped big today. They'll fight back however...
Me:Coming up, No Secrets, Dana Glover and a premiere coming from Norah Jones.
*break*
18. No Secrets "Here I Am" (10, 14)-3
2002 DRL rookie group of the year. When will the video for this song come out so I can see it?
17. Dana Glover "Thinking Over" (5, 15)+1
Her debut single is "Thinking Over" from her debut album which I think is called "Testimony". She is set to hit top ten in a few more shows.
Me:Where are you going? Don't go yet! Michelle & Avril soothe your soul next and we premiere the title track from Norah Jones's debut album.
*break*
16. Avril Lavigne "I'm With You" (81, 4@1)+3
When Mya stopped by the show as we were about to premiere Avril Lavigne's "Complicated", she said that Avril would dominate 2002. It looked that Mya was right but unfortunately, Ashanti made Avril eat those words as she made 2002, "The Year Of The Murderers". Still, Avril is dominant.
15. Michelle Branch "Here With Me" (21, 5)+2
Michelle fights back! This is her slowest charting song to date because after 21 shows, she hasn't gone past #5. She'll make it to #1 soon...
Me:Here's our first premiere from Norah Jones. This is the follow-up to "Don't Know Why" and it's from her triple-platinum debut album "Come Home With Me". This is the title cut to that album.
*plays song*
Me:Ok, we've got some Christina Milian, a little Swiss Beatz and a jump from Eden's Crush on the way. Don't move.
*break*
14. Christina Milian Featuring Ja Rule "Get Away" (98, 18@1)-2
The 2nd solo single from her. This was the first #1 debut of 2002 and Christina showed us what she could do. She gave the rookie Ashanti a hard time. Get Away is near 100 days.
13. Swiss Beatz & Friends "Bigger Business" (35, 5@1)-3
Swiss Beatz puts the S in Ruff Ryders. He is tough to beat in the clutch and in the heat of the moment. Soon to be retired...
12. Christina Milian "AM To PM" (42, 3)+1
This had a hard time returning but now she can finally build a streak. AM To PM is the first solo single she released because her first appearance was the song "Between Me And You" which won 3 DRL trophies including best Hip-Hop, R&B and Collaboration of 2000.
11. Eden's Crush "Let Me Know" (30, 2)+9
Eden's Crush won't give in. Get Over Yourself, Love This Way & I Wanna Be Free all retired and now the quintet wants this one to retire too.
Me:On the way, a debut from a legendary artist and it's not Santana, Michael Jackson, Queen Latifah, Madonna or Janet Jackson. We also have Coldplay clocking in and 3LW making a big leap because of Ed's love for them.
*break*
Me:Coldplay has made sure that they strike hard. Clocks moves up 1 to #10.
10. Coldplay "Clocks" (9, 10)+1
How does Coldplay do it? They strike with their sweet melody but in this song, it's more upbeat and the video is performance footage but it's hot.
9. 3LW "Neva Get Enuf" (97, 9@1)+7
Adrienne says that she'd like to perform tomorrow with Ashanti and do the song "Baby". This is what Ashanti said, "I would be honored to work with a great singer like Adrienne from 3LW." The lyrics will be posted here so keep your eyes focused.
8. Ashanti "Call" (9, 8)+1
Slow movement for this song. It's anybody's guess if it will hit #1. Then again, every one of her songs have hit #1.
7. Whitney Houston "One Of Those Days" (1, 7)HOT SHOT DEBUT
Nobody saw this coming but I can't leave Whitney in the dust! This is her highest top 20 entry ever.
Me:Up next, LL Cool J & Jennifer Lopez.
*break*
Me:At the #6 spot today is J. Lo dropping another spot.
6. Jennifer Lopez Featuring LL Cool J "All I Have" (45, 5@1)-1
This ballad is gonna be her biggest DRL hit ever so wait and see.
5. LL Cool J Featuring Amerie "Paradise" (47, 1@1)+2
Too bad this isn't summertime or it would be perfect. LL Cool J moves up 2 to #5 with Paradise.
4. Amerie "Talkin To Me" (184, 18@1)-3
Though it was #1 yesterday, she drops 3 to #4 but somehow gains 15% more spins.
Me:Ja Rule, Craig David & Ashanti close the show and a premiere from Freeway.
*break*
3. Ja Rule Featuring Ashanti "Mesmerize" (22, 9@1)+
Ja mesmerizes us with this tune. It can't leave the top 5 at all.
2. Craig David "Hidden Agenda" (11, 2)+2
How does he do it? Craig David two-steps two to two today. Say that 3 times fast! "Hidden Agenda" is looking to be his biggest hit.
Me:The other premiere is from Freeway with "What We Do".
*plays video*
1. Ashanti "Baby" (207, 47@1)+1
No TRL love for this song but that didn't stop my girl Ashanti. She can't be taken down and finally returns to #1!
Me:That's all. See ya later.

BABY
By: Ashanti Featuring Adrienne Bailon of 3LW
I don't remember feeling like this...
Baby...Baby I love you...Baby...Baby I love you.
[Verse 1-Ashanti, (Adrienne)]
I got this jones forming in my bones (from a man)
who indeed took over my soul, (understand)
I couldn't breathe if he ever said (he would leave),
get on my knees till they bloody red, (baby please)
see I don't know if you get it yet, (just don't know)
He's like the lighter to my cigarette,
(watch me smoke), I never knew another human life
(didn't know) can have the power to take over mine,
So baby baby.
[Chorus-Adrienne]
Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby,(baby I love you) baby,
baby,baby baby,baby, I love it when I hear
ya name, got me sayin' baby, baby, baby,
baby, baby,(baby I love you) baby, baby, baby, baby, baby.
[Verse 2-Adrienne, (Ashanti)]
Oh..., I could never feel alone with you (in my life),
I gave up everything I own for you (won't
think twice), almost a shame how I'm mesmerized (such a shame),
I loose my thought looking in your eyes (I know why)
because your kisses make my lips quiver and (that's real) and when you
touch me my whole body shivers. (I can feel) now,
I can see how another life(nother life) you
have the power to take over mine cause your my.
[Chorus 2x]
[Verse 3-1:Adrienne, (Ashanti)]
Baby, I can't see my world (I can't see) living here on
God's green earth, you don't know what
you've done to me, (done to me) I never thought
I'd need you desperately,(desperately) it's kind
of sick how I'm stuck on you(stuck on you)
but I don't care cause I'm needing you (I'm needing you)
and how I feel will remain the same (remains the same)
cause your're my baby, (cause you're my baby) listen
[Verse 3-2:Ashanti, (Adrienne)]
When the world starts to stress me out,
(where I run) it's to you boy without
a doubt (you're the one) who keeps me sane and I can't complain
(can't complain) you're like a
drug you relieve my pain (may seem strange)
you're like the blood flowing through my vain, (oooo)
keeps me alive and feeding my brain,
(oooo) now this is how another human life could
have the power to take over mine cause your my
[Chorus-Ashanti]
[Chorus-Adrienne]
