Her stans are aware of this. Most of the sales come from casual fans. I thought this was common knowledge.

Please everyone get off the album sales are dead/over bandwagon. Same old song every week. Every month. Every year. In reality total music sales decrease only a few percent per year. That is due to theft (unofficial leaks) and free listening on websites like Youtube. These cut into music sales. A casual listener need not take a chance on purchase when free listening is available. The idea that one person releasing an album will save music sales is PR hype. The music business is bigger than one person.

There's definitely added value to that and they could be made of cheap durable materials (a metal USB stick is less than 5 bucks), the deluxe versions could be a little more fancy. It could create new jobs for plastic artists to create different designs for each album. If the big labels could all agree to release flash drive albums it would totally catch on easily, and since they can be so little you could carry more than a couple in your pocket no problem. Imagine a bag, totally portable. You could go to a party with 20 albums in a small bag. I can see anyone wanting to have a cool designed USB album.

They could come in a box, with the cover of the album and inside the stick, sort of like this:




Imagine all the threads people would make here comparing which album has the best design. On another note, I'm sure a lot of established artists would jump on the bandwagon and re-release their albums in a cool designed USB stick. Just thinking it makes me want it. Damn. Music industry, c'mon!

My mum is a hard core P!nk stan and she didn't even know it was her. Most of her sales come from casual listeners + She doesn't even have her name on the album and she isn't going to promote it. Such potential
