As a song it isn't even embedded in pop culture. Nobody has heard "Listen." It has never been popular in the U.S. (peaked outside the top 60) or 90% of worldwide territories. It's only had success in South Korea (only thanks to a cover of it) and the U.K., where all Dream Girls singles were more successful and Beyoncé has relatively recently been promoting on high-profile shows like the X-Factor.

Omg, I tried comparing them both on Google Trends, they have Listen-Beyonce Knowles, but they don't have Everytime- Britney Spears. , they had Everytime-Song (which means they put combined every song named Everytime)
It's not really even close at all, perhaps you all need to remove your stan-glasses to see how little impact Everytime had after it was a hit. Classics are supposed to be remembered and shared for years and years, and I'm afraid only one of the 2 songs we're discussing has been able to do that.

In the Zone's release by miles. She had a special with BoA and was used by SM to help launch DBSK (TVXQ). Her impact in South Korea at the time was unparalleled (in case you don't know who they are, they were both South Korean legends before the age of 25).
In the U.K. "Listen" has been promoted much more heavily in the digital era and still has sold less than "Everytime."
Beyoncé should easily be able to outsell "Everytime" seeing as it was released at the weakest time EVER for single sales and not promoted EVER past 2004 and that album's promotional campaign was even cut short for a knee injury, but she hasn't. What does that say about "Listen's" classic status?
