Aren't Rihanna and Nicki black though? Yes, it is harder now for black records to hit Top 10 but that isnt because of racism, it is only because urban music isnt as mainstream and popular as it was 10 years ago. Its hard for rock artists and country artists to get to Top 10 as well. Rock isnt as mainstream as well.
Hip hop and R&B is kind of dead right now because honestly, there only are like 10 black artists who are relevant right now: beyonce, jay, kanye, rihanna, nicki, drake, wayne, usher, chris brown. There used to be way more diversity especially on hiphop/R&B stations. now, you only hear either beyonce/ rihanna/nicki or chris brown/usher or jay/kanye or tyga/drake/wayne.
thats ALL they play exactly in this order too. i didnt even know brandy or monica had a record out. you never even hear it
hell the black stations even play adele too.
