No it did not.
"I Wanna Go" was announced the 3rd single May 10th. It's adds date was June 14th, and didn't even enter the Top 50 of Pop until June 15th. "Criminal" is already Top 30 on it's adds date, which "IWG" didn't do until 10 days after it's adds.
You're only getting the illusion that "IWG" was doing better because it didn't take off until AFTER it's adds date - when we start actually visibly seeing it. Whereas "Criminal" has taken off well before it's adds, and we've been able to see it's pre-release hype. So in reality, you're downplaying how well "Criminal" has been doing. It's done well again "IWG"/"TTWE" recurrent plays.
It's adds date is today and the next week or so will show how well it will really do.
