It's okay sis I feel the same way too But Next year will be better she will actually have some time in the limelight herself. She got overshadowed by Katy/Adele/Rihanna a lot last year. Hopefully this year upcoming year is free of that.

The reason she wasn't nominated was because she outright told them she wasn't going to attend. None of these fan-voted award shows are actually fan-voted. It is all for ratings and $$$. Gaga said she would not attend which means no ratings for MTV which means no reason to nominate her or to use her for hype. It was obvious the moment she said she would not be there we would not see any Gaga nominations. There were plenty of amazing videos made in 2011/2012 and look how the only ones nominated were the ones from people who could bring in ratings.

It's true in a sense though sis If you think about it, the VMAs is a promotional activity for most artist. Lots of money goes behind those awards. Now i'm not going to say that the reason she said she wasn't going is why she wasn't nominated. I don't believe that's true. But there's some truth, in that they have absolutely nothing to gain from her if she's not going or performing.

and A-m I am happy for the awards that she has won. I'm so proud of her, but I do feel bad that this year there's been a sense of...... lacking? Each year from 2010 + we have seen a decline in awards. Which is usual since she won so many in 09-10. Maybe we'll see another increase next year regardless, I am excited. Although it means that she probably wont get another Grammy nom or award until 2014.

It's not really a lesson, so to speak. You can still put out really good music and videos and get snubbed. BTW/Y&I were done by professionals, and both have not been enough for VOTY.

I have no doubt in my mind that 2013 will be her year. If she's doing what we all think she's doing with Jonas, Klein, and all of these amazing people, she will be the most hyped celebrity in 2013 and will slay like no other.

I actually think Wide Awake ****s all over We Found Love. I don't get the hype around WFL, to be honest. Wide Awake is colorful, cute, artistic, cinematic, has a cool story, and isn't try-hardish.
