I don't know... feel so manufactured in their responses, in their technique, and in their performances. I don't feel anything from either of them. I can't see them selling any records, especially with the music scene we live in today.

See, that's where I totally disagree with you. I don't think Scotty's pony is that good. I've grown up listening to country all my life. ALL he can do is imitate Josh Turner. THAT'S IT. To me, his whole thing is an imitation, a parody - and one that will never be anywhere near as good as the original. There are so many other male country vocalists who are so much better than him. I think it's just ludicrous to say that his voice is somehow better than Pia's. Honestly, say all you want to about her on-stage persona - she may look and appear like a pageant girl on stage, but she doesn't sound like one. There is a very distinct quality to her voice, a certain timbre and fresh quality with just the slightest hint of an edge, that makes it beautiful. She has a voice that was made for both live performances and - arguably even more important - recording. I think she's certainly going to go far. You just don't find females who can sing like her. And not only that, she has been incredibly blessed with a voice that is nuclear-powered, but one that is also MAINSTREAM and translatable to radio. I mean, look at how she covered Bleeding Love? It was literally just as good as the original, and that was one of the biggest singles of 2007. I don't really see how you can say she wouldn't be able to sell records. I think there's just as much demand for what she can produce as there is for what Scotty could offer.
Now, as for Scotty? Go to any honky tonk in Nashville (or Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Louisiana...) and you'll find plenty of crooning cowboys - and plenty of crooning cowboys who do his whole schtick
better. Just my two cents.
