Baby Don't Lie is nice but this isn't good judging from the snippet. I've been under-whelmed by everything I've heard.
Not one song touches likes of What You Waiting For?/Rich Girl/Hollaback Girl/Cool/Luxurious
Exactly how I feel. Her creativity is either stumped or has been diluted by the label. Either way, i'm gonna give her some benefit of the doubt for now but if this is reflective of the album than idk man. I mean The Sweet Escape had some clunkers but it also had some gems, it was a mixed bag. Maybe this album will be the same, however at least with The Sweet Escape she lead with Wind It Up which was dope as ****. Baby Don't Lie is meh.
People need to stop saying Gwen's back, both songs are underwhelming and none of these songs touch what she's done previously.
And please don't blaspheme and say that this Spark The Fire is the new WYWF or Hollaback Girl, those are pop classics.
Honestly people just want to embrace her again which i'd be all for if the music was as good as her past material. But all shes doing with Baby Don't Lie is sounding exactly like everyone else. Shes completely void of her creative voice. Then Spark the Fire is just straight up ugly, its like Breaking Up meets Rock Steady filler.
