because she's been making the same doctor's waiting room music for the past 10 years
nobody actually cares about pink.
except for australia for some reason
Nobody cares about her? Explain to me how she constantly sells out tours and still sells albums? Explain to me how she's already sold 1 million in the US in less than 4 months? How did she get that #1 album and have her biggest opening week ever 12 years into her career and "nobody cares"? LOL. I mean.. you tried.. and I'd like to say it was cute. But it wasn't. Sorry babe.
No it's not. I basically said that artists who are in heavy rotation on radio are guaranteed to "get at least SOME sale" due to shoving the songs down the public's throats. Is that the sole reason she gets sales, no? She has her hardcore fan base, but there's also a lot of illusion going on with P!nk. She's not staying true to herself. Quite the opposite. She's playing it safe most of the time for sales.
Lets talk examples.
Your Body was more basic than any P!nk song. Had a radio deal unlike Pink. Was hyped up tremendously. Where is Lotus atm?

"Your Body" never received the same amount of radio saturation as any of P!nk's lead singles over the last few years. The difference in audience impressions between the two is tremendous. It's really about saturation and repetition. That's what gives a lot of these singles/albums stability.

Die Young was huge on the radio, but what's with Warrior's sales?! And C'Mon is rising fast.
She managed to be so consistent because she never overexposed herself imo.
She never tried to force herself down other people's throats in whatever way some people do it nowadays.
Also I think P!nk is an artists that is widely appreciated in the industry and by the GP who is intrested in more than her radio appealing singles(every big artists is bound to have) but also in her other side and her overall honest persona.

And what is the reason for that? Why is Pink getting more airplay despite being on the same shittty label and not having half the promo as Xtina?
Obviously the public's interest has a lot to do with it.
I think the fact that she didn't blow up to their extent assisted her in staying level headed in terms of being a "business woman" (maintaining her career). The fame maching kind of chewed Britney and Xtina up and spit them out to a point. Pink was just a good singer and a good performer. Now? She's been able to maintain her voice and she's grown as a performer.

Well it's helping to sell the single. And again, Ke$ha's albums sales would be lower without the amount of radio support she's been getting. C'mon is at about expected level on iTunes for the amount of airplay it's getting.

Without meaning to offend, that's a very naive way to look at it. Most of the time it's radio programmers choosing the songs to put into rotation and their biases definitely tie into that. In general, the public has way less control than most think.
