Rihanna, on the contrary to common belief, is respected in the music industry. Bitney has had a lot of issues in her personal life so that's a different story.

It's totally stupid to say that Katy & Ke$ha are less respected than Flo Rida & Pitbull. No one pay them any attention, their albums sales are ridiculous, they can't make big tours, medias don't give a **** about them and they won't be remembered in some years.

Ke$ha goes without saying, Katy makes a couple of decent pop tunes here and there but overall her music is just to bubblegum pop/ tweeny for my taste, I don't get how her music can have adult appeal to it.

kesha has some great songs have you heard the harold song, animal, dancing with my tears, and as for katy she has lots of adult appeal most of her music is played on adult contemporary stations like wide awake is playing right now on my local radio station, and have you ever listened to her music pre-teenage dream, dont make assumptions if you dont know something

so is katy, lots of legends have praised her for her work as they do rihanna, so i dont get your point at all and im sure katy would have critical acclaim her next album, rihanna didnt get it until her third album.

Most music critics criticized Whitney's music for lacking growth as she went along but overall her discography is still pretty good and she has gotten numerous awards and some of her albums are noted as some of the greatest albums of all time. The artists above are criticized because their music is just displeasing with a few exceptions here and there.
