With us particularly, we know how much work and heart she puts into everything she does, so tearing her down because it's not what we want, is ridiculous and adds fuel to the fire.
Gaga's job is to give us good music, which she does time and time again. That's it. If you like it, you buy it, if you don't like it, you don't buy it. Gaga does not owe us "anything". What people want are #1 hits to brag about, and, like, sorry but Gaga can't just get a #1 hit. It doesn't work that way.
There is no such thing as "constructive criticism" in this fanbase. No one knows how to express their negative opinions without resorting to rhetoric like "YOU'RE RUINING YOUR CAREER! YOU ARE FLOPPING!"

There is a difference between tearing her down and critisizing her.
I don't agree with posts like "Gaga is the most stupid women on earth, that **** should end her life like her career". Things I've seen in the ARTPOP thread. These kind of things should not be there I agree.
But I don't see any harm in asking her where the DWUW video is for example. I don't ask that cause I want a No. 1. I ask that cause I want a Gaga video! That's all. And I don't want to get annoyed all the time. I'm not asking her to be No. 1 but she has to stay successful to remain the big star she is. If she doesn't want that, then ok, so be it. But she can't be something in between.

But the overall message is right: fans are ruining her. Not super fans, but bandwagon fans. The fans who attack everything she does. Fans who whine and cry because they are never happy. Gaga sees us. She sees everything we say. She sees the meltdowns over her not going #1, and that hurts her. That makes her feel like ****. For someone who has dedicated their life to making fans happy to see meltdowns because she's not #1 one, has to hurt like crazy and it deflates her. Why would she want to do her best when she knows her best isn't good enough? Why do you think she succeeded so well during TFM? 'Cause we supported her.
Gaga fans, all in general, need to stop blaming everything and everyone else and start blaming themselves.

I'm sorry but it was Gaga herself that sent a tweet that she is going to snatch Carly Rae Jepsen's weave with her next single. So she does care about being No. 1. Or she cared.
Again I don't care if she is No. 1 or 7. But I do think she should be in the Top10 with as many songs as possible. Be visible and liked.
And she was so successfull with TFM because she was the new It-Girl, everyone loved her. Not just because we supported her.
How can we support her now? I've bought the album 6 times. I've spent a week getting votes so I could go to the listening party in Berlin and I've spent 1400 Euros to go there eventhough I really shouldn't have spent that money.
I consider even buying the ARTPOP Zone tickets.
But that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to tell her "well stop promising and deliver". I can't force her to change things. I can only suggest.
And THAT makes me a real fan no matter what Emma says. Being able to tell her when she is wrong. Doesn't mean she has to change it cause she will never be able to make everyone happy.
But you can't stop my voice Gaga!

Except that rule never happened. It was first come, first serve. Most of the people I know who got into the pit didn't even dress up. And really, people having fun and dressing up = making a fool out of themselves? How ignorant and close-minded can you be? Part of a concert is expressing yourself and having fun. That's one thing Gaga always encourages. Just because you're afraid of how people will see you doesn't mean others are the same way.
Simple: ignore 'em.
No disrespect to Darren 'cause I think he's a great fan, but I'm so over fans blaming everyone but themselves. No one in the real world gives a **** about fanbases. All people care about are catchy songs, which Gaga needs. If she wants big hits, she's going to have to branch out and work with other producers. It's as simple as that.
Oh look, another "essay". Hope y'all got your reading glasses on.

The thing with the monster pit though is that SOME did dress up extra to get noticed. And when there are TV reports they will choose these few monsters to represent our fanbase. I am sure that a lot of people in the GP know about Gaga and her outcast & gay fans.
It's an image she built up and I don't say she shouldn't have (I even just praised BTW for that a few pages ago) but you can't be surprised if someone doesn't want to admit they like Gaga because of that. Not saying it's right, just trying to explain why there are a lot of people afraid to admit they like Gaga.
And I can say for myself that I joke about a lot of things in here with some things I say. I try not to be disrespectful though. But this forum is for me some kind of a relief, breather from some problems and stress in the real world.
Gaga shouldn't read boards to manage her career.
