I personally don't want that. Mariah has already done that kind of music so it would be regressive for her to re-hash her 90s material. She's already stuck re-doing "We Belong Together"-esque ballads, I don't need ha trying to serve me Daydream material again even though I love that album.
But this isn't the Mariah Carey thread so keep it cute Chanteuses.

@Bolded Exactly, which is why I suggested that; regressive or not. If she really wants to do recreate another We Belong Together (& it seems like she's stubborn about it) then I think she should try Ari's producers, they've been doing better job than Mariah's lately in my opinion.
Relating to Ariana:
I would love Ariana to sing #Beautiful or You're Mine (Eternal), studio versions though.
Even the thought of it is just.

Not jobully encouraging violence and discord in the Ariana base.

That won't work for her.
I don't know how familiar you guys are with Mariah but she is very stubborn about who she works with. JD, her manager, has been working with her since 1995 ("Always Be My Baby"); he has worked on EVERY Mariah album minus "Glitter" - that's almost 20 years of collaborating. Mariah likes to keep people around for a long time, so most of her team members (JD, Randy Jackson - no longer apart of her team - Michael B. Cox, etc) and her background vocalists have been with her for most of her career.
That's the thing with Mariah, she does what she wants. She likes the music she makes - that's why she puts it out. She'll work with those producers if she likes what they make. Even though at this point it's time for her and JD to part ways, she'll never let go of him (and the rest of her teammates).

You know what Mariah song Ariana should cover? "Bliss". What an eargasm. The sex anthem.
It's so great being an Arianator, I mean your fave is the first breakout star that Nick has produced (Music wise) and there's no competition. Miranda could have been but she's at USC while Victoria continues to struggle.

Ok so Ariana punched the first blow on ask.fm saying Victorious ended because Victoria decided to go on a solo tour (who would've gone anyway) instead of a cast tour. Then Victoria shaded the sis on Twitter saying "being thrown under a bus" and other irrelevant crap. This started the Arianator and Victoryan war. But they're on good terms now but I still hate that girl.

Oh gurl. I thought it was a legit drama between the two of them. No need to worry about Victoria, we've got a bigger fish to fry. The Disney stans are like the white, 12 year old version of the C-Squad.

Explains all of it. Props to her for doing whatever that makes her happy though.
I don't know why I haven't listened to Mariah's discography yet.
I felt like taking a long walk along the beach while listening to that song.
So relaxing, definitely my taste.

Her back-up singer, Trey Lorez, has been with her since her debut era (1990), almost 25 years together. That's someone's lifetime right there.

I love that song. You should try Daydream, Mariah Carey, Emotions, and Butterfly first. Classic.
