'What The Hell' seemed like it would flop but ended up after 3 months charting at #11 and selling 1.8 million copies in the U.S. alone. No Doubt will be fine. This song will have that longevity Avril had

No. It's a bad song. You can't make the same argument for "Hey Baby," which would have been just as big in 2012 as it was in 2001.

I'm glad they took the risk. Even MORE people would be complaining if they played it safe and did the dance sound for a quick hit.
