Well, first, for me, the smell of that smoke on someone ties into the health part of my response.
Then, of course, because I've seen people go from weed to harder ****. I've seen people grow a dependence to it and that in itself changed them.
People always focus on the benefits of it and yes there are benefits to it but I've seen long term use turn people completely into something that they aren't. Some people may call ******** but some people haven't seen what I've seen.

I get what you're saying. I'm not claiming weed is all good. But I think it's mostly about the person smoking weed, rather that weed itself. Personally, I have absolutely NO desire to try any other drug. Hallucinate drugs scare me because you don't have control over your body and your mind and I don't ever want to be in that situation. I've been smoking weed for over 6 years, the last 3 years regularly. And never has weed made me think of trying other drugs. But if a person is weak and easily manipulated, yes it could potentially lead to harder drugs. This is why i get mad when people say weed is a gateway drug. If I'm high and someone offers me to try harder drugs, I'm in compeltele control of my mind and I will decline the offer without hesitation. But say I'm drunk, and someone offers me hard drugs, I can't tell you for sure I won't do it, because you are not completely there when drunk. I used this argument when my parents found out I was smoking and their biggest concern was to not do hard drugs after weed.
But yeah, as I've said, it has to do with each person individually and how weed affects them.
In my case, I think weed has definitely helped me. I think a lot clearer now, I see life completely different, in a more positive light, and it has helped me broaden my mind. As long as you smoke in moderation and not overuse it, it's completely fine.
