I thought they were supposed to compile a list of artists who have the best music or great artistically. I didn't say a big part, I said im sure it was brought into consideration. If you think about it Ella and Billie aren't known for their albums or their music in general, they are known for their voices and their influence. From the looks of these women with the exception of the rock girls who were gonna be here regardless because of their genre all of these women have:
- Been Critically Acclaimed
- Successful In Music
- Praised For Their Talent
- Great Stage Performers
Aretha, Tina, and Janis represent the older generation. Madonna, Sade, Mary, Mariah, and Whitney represent the generation of music right behind ours and Beyonce and Alicia who happen to be the only two contemporary female artists on the list represent our generation.
