Guys I wasn't expecting these many comments after the latest set, thank you so much for checking out my countdown....2014 might not have been the best year in music but there were some good songs no doubt! Today is the last day of the top 100, hope you enjoy the last 20 songs!
Muchas gracias por haber visitado mi conteo! Lo siento por no hablar tanto en español pero es que se siente raro...casi siempre solo escribo en inglés aquí Y llegamos al final del top 100
020. Ximena Sariñana-“Sin ti no puede estar tan mal”
This girl saved music in Spanish this year by releasing this single and her album No todo lo puedes dar. This is the highest ranking Spanish song this year, which means this is an all-time low for music in Spanish since I started my year-end lists back in 2008.
019. Sam Smith-“Money On My Mind”
My favorite Sam Smith song (sorry Amaloner!), I liked this song a lot because it has an alternative sound to it. Someone said once that Sam is like mixing Lorde and Adele, and I happen to agree. What he sings about is more like Adele but some of the instrumentals are like Lorde's!
018. Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea-“Problem”
The new Mariah Carey and the Queen of Rap teamed up for this awesome song which I enjoyed a lot back in the summer. I am so proud at how far these two have come and I hope they smash next eras too!
017. Charli XCX-“Boom Clap”
This song is pop perfection! 2014 was Charli's year...she was everywhere! Sucker is a good album, too, though not as good as I expected.
016. Katy Perry-“Birthday”
Awful video, generic song, they said. But I don't care, I love this song to death. It might not be memorable but it is simply amazing!
015. Michael Jackson featuring Justin Timberlake-“Love Never Felt So Good”
After his death a few years ago the least I would expect was to see an MJ single chart in my year-end lists but this flawless pop song did it, which is awesome but kind of creepy.
014. CHVRCHES-“Gun”
Let's ignore the release date of this song and the fact that I discovered it a gazillion years later and appreciate the masterpiece that is this CHVRCHES song! Long live CHVRCHES!
013. Hozier-“Take Me to Church”
This song is special to me for many reasons, its music video speaks a lot about our society, and its mainstream success surprised me! One of the best songs ever no doubt.
012. Vampire Weekend-“Step”
The poor guys just can't get a top 10 in my year-end lists A-Punk (2008) and Diane Young (2013) were as close as Step but couldn't be in the top 10 year-end. This song is perfect for every situation...I listened to it in the winter, in the summer, while walking, while in bed, while sad, while happy.
011. Iggy Azalea featuring Rita Ora-“Black Widow”
I love Iggy and Rita did an amazing work with the chorus. This was my favorite song to work out to this year!

010. Katy Perry featuring Juicy J-“Dark Horse”
This is one of the songs of the decade, and possibly the song that has done the best in my charts thus far this decade. It managed to be in the top 20 of both 2013 and 2014! Had it been released as PRISM's lead single, it would've been number one last year no doubt. It's just a pop masterpiece!
009. Meghan Trainor-“All About That Bass””
This girl just came out of nowhere to make the charts hers without any effort. Her music is infectious, she has revived the Doo Whop genre but has adapted to pop very well. And she has also made us feel a bit better about our weight,,,,unless we are one of those 'skinny bitches' that complain about that line on the YouTube comments and about how skinny people also get discriminated (reverse racism teas). Anyway, I love Meghan!
008. The Ting Tings-“Wrong Club”
Very few people cared for their comeback but I was pretty hyped with this song. I just missed this band so much! This is the second time they've been in my top 10 in a year-end list too!
007. Tove Lo-“Habits (Stay High)”
This Swedish girl was also one of 2014's best surprises, she seemed to come out of nowhere too. This song was infectious and was everywhere...it was possibly my college's favorite song this year. I wish Tove the best...also I personally think she should stick to alternative instead of pop.
006. Calvin Harris-“Summer”
I don't remember liking this song that much but my charts don't lie and this spent a lot of weeks in my top 10 so there he is. This is Calvin's second top 10 year-end appearance as well. He is shaping up to be one of the best artists of the decade.
005. Lilly Wood & The Prick-“Prayer in C (Robert Schulz remix)”
So this is one of these old songs that a DJ decides to remix and suddenly takes off all over Europe (reminds me of One Day/Reckoning Song). This is catchy, sad, and has one of the best beats ever.
004. Die Antwoord-“Baby’s On Fire”
Yes this is from 2012 but since I discovered it this year I gave it a chance and I liked it a lot. Die Antwoord is a very bizarre South African EDM-rap-alternative band whose visuals and overall concept are worth checking out. Granted, a lot of their music is pure crap but not this song.....according to me anyway.
003. Lana Del Rey-“West Coast”
Lana's epic comeback--I was ready. West Coast was everything I could've asked from a Lana comeback. I was one of the casual fans she acquired over the 3 year period between BTD and UV. It wasn't until last year, actually, when I started to become obsessed with her. She was my number one last year, and this year she was close as well. UV is not as good as BTD, that's true, but it's very cohesive and a brilliant album overall.
002. Foster The People-“Best Friend”
Speaking of comebacks, this song by Foster The People was my everything this year. Perhaps it was because it sounded a lot like something from Torches, but I fell in love with this song and played it almost everyday. This is the second top 10 year-end appearance by FTP too. Lots of second appearances this year! Congrats to one of the best bands ever! You almost mad it!
001. Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX-“Fancy”
Fancy being my number one is historic because no rap song ever got to number one in my charts ever. Well....this doesn't count as rap really, but still it's very atypical for it to have gotten to the top! Iggy was amazing this year successwise. I am sad that success brings controversy however. But I was just too obsessed with Fancy and well, here it is 2014. The Year of Iggy Azalea.

Prayer In C
Viene algun otro update?

019. Sam Smith-“Money On My Mind” - Uhm, if only the chorus part was a bit bearable to the ears.
018. Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea-“Problem” - I'd be lying if I say I didn't like this song. But it burned out so fast for me.

Those shoes are quite big to fill in and I don't think they're even halfway there.
017. Charli XCX-“Boom Clap” - I'm glad Charlotte made it big this year at least with one song. And yeah, Sucker was worth the long wait.
016. Katy Perry-“Birthday” - What music video are you talking about? But for real, this is really a great album track although l didn't like it as much when it was released as a single. Also, I was expecting this to pull a Last Friday Night but unfortunately it didn’t because of the inexisting music video you are referring to.
015. Michael Jackson featuring Justin Timberlake-“Love Never Felt So Good” - You could never go wrong with MJ's songs.
011. Iggy Azalea featuring Rita Ora-“Black Widow” - I would have liked this better if Katy was singing the chorus although that might have sounded Dark Horse 2.0.
010. Katy Perry featuring Juicy J-“Dark Horse” - I really like Katy's songs with urban influence and the GP seem to love it as well. I mean both E.T. and this one went #1.
009. Meghan Trainor-“All About That Bass”” - What drew me into this song was its doowop throwback feel to it. I mean it's amazing that this kind of sound would be appreciated by a lot of people. nowadays.
007. Tove Lo-“Habits (Stay High)” - This song was an instant hit for me when I first heard it back in March. I was really hoping this to hit #1 this year but unfortunately it stalled at #3 because of Taylor and Meghan which I both like so I guess that's not bad after all.
006. Calvin Harris-“Summer” - Have you heard Motion though? This is actually the most decent song there.
003. Lana Del Rey-“West Coast” - Yeah, this is a great comeback single. Very melancholic and soothing to the ears.
001. Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX-“Fancy” - I used to like this song but it got overplayed to the point that I don't wanna listen to it again. But hey, it still was one of the best songs this year.
