I wonder if the people who've already bought it agree with the reviews?
Though IGN hasn't put up an official review yet, I agree with the main points they brought up in their live discussion. Destiny is a "jack of all trades" kind of game, borrowing elements from shooters, RPGs, and MMOs. It blends those elements very well, but fails to fully deliver on all fronts. The game suffers from monotony due to the grinding nature of many of its missions. The story is incredibly underwhelming especially since the Destiny is so awe-inspiring and deserves much more. The score is absolutely stunning and deserves an OST soon, tbh. The gameplay is very smooth and combat is always fast-paced and exciting. If you don't have any friends to play with, Destiny will get boring very quickly unless you enjoy leveling up your character. The Raids promise to be the highlight of Destiny, so we will have to see how those turn out when the events are available.
I would give Destiny an 8/10.
