I can't at people not getting why Myspace failed. Myspace failed because Tom left and the people who bought it (Rupert Murdoch, right?) changed everything. Tom had nothing to do with the site failing so the whole "couldn't even keep a site up" is completely wrong. If Tom hadn't of left and if things hadn't of changed, the site would have continued being successful and Facebook would not have taken over it. The fact that you could personalize your profile was what made Myspace a favorite website, so when they took that away, everything crumbled. Tom is living the good life with that $500m. Smart move.

Wait... Myspace was one of the top three most-visited sites in the world when it was at its peak. It was not a flop at all. After Tom left is when the site began to fail and rightfully so. A flop site does not receive a valuation of over $500m.
