I love hypocritical some of u stans are. "Breakaway" did not get the singles sales because digital era was not at full force yet. But you love to brag about album sales forgetting that it was much easier to sell albums back in the day for the very same reason.

Anyway....the album that had IMPACT big enough to win Grammy AOTY.

Yes Kelly had more hit singles , that's true , but Taylor made a huge impact with '' Love Story '' only , not saying Kelly didn't with her singles , but for a '' Country '' labeled artist to have a hit WW is VERY rare . that's what made Taylor have more impact , because Country music wasn't familiar in places like Europe , Asia .. etc

And Fearless ended up being one of the best selling albums ( maybe even the best selling one now ) by a foreign artist in the Philippines .

Well well well.. Since U Been Gone is one of my favorite pop songs of all time but let's be real.. Kelly never really conquered Latin America, Europe and Asia. She was massive in the United States and Canada but that was it. Taylor Swift's Fearless became her path to be known globally. She is one of the most popular female artists in Asia and in Latin America. Her Fearless tour was sold out. She managed to get hit after hit. Love Story was bigger than Since U Been Gone and You Belong With Me was bigger than all of the three singles in Breakaway combined! I'm no big Swift fan but that's the truth tea.

Again, World Tour means a lot in impact. Just because your fave flopped at it doesn't mean it's irrelevant

It's honestly hardly that different, most people that illegally download an album end up buying it sooner or later. People don't realize piracy actually isn't that big of a deal.

Plus Taylor's fans are more young and so they don't even know HOW to download an album illegally.
