This is a really uplifting song and I expected this of Demi because of what she has been through. This song is very personal for me. I remember one week that I had to listen to it every morning to get my day going.
19. Bad Meets Evil - Lighters
Eminem + Bruno (and the other guy) = MAGIC! This song is telling the story of both rappers and how they came into the industry. Bruno Mars really did the song justice and Em never fails to deliver!
18. Rihanna - Talk That Talk (Feat Jay -Z)
A standout track on the album. While it doesn't meet the standards of Umbrella, the song still knocks. It has the same message of Rude Boy and the infamous "Give It Me Baby" line makes a return (I can't help but say like BOOM BOOM BOOM after that line in the song). It's a great Urban jam and I look forward to the video.
17. Lady Gaga - The Edge of Glory
I remember when this song as released as a "promo single." It was so good, I actually sat there in silence trying to cry because the song sounds like one you would cry to (especially because it's about her grandfather who passed away). I thought to myself "Lady Gaga is stupid if she doesn't make this a single!" It turns out, she wasn't stupid! The sax at the end gave me goosebumps. I love the song to this very day!
16. Beyoncé - Run The World (Girls)
An underrated gem this is. It's not the type of song that you would like right away (trust me, because I didn't), but when Bey hits the stage and performs this, you have no choice but to swing your head back and forth and shoulder shimmy to this up-tempo "Girl Power" anthem!
Good he made it through.
