also, homosexuality is caused by a difference in brain chemistry. there is no documented difference in chemistry that causes people to be born wanting to **** their mother. there's no such thing as a person that is only capable of being attracted to their family members. it's impossible for gay people to have ANY fulfilling sexual or romantic relationship if they ignore their attraction, while these people can just find someone else and be perfectly fine.

This is all fine and dandy and true to an extent. However, you (and everyone else in this thread who's against it) has yet to explain to me why two consenting adults having a relationship with each other should be illegal in your opinion. It really makes no difference whether one person in the relationship is "manipulating" the other. Do you realize how many LEGAL relationships consist of one party manipulating the other for sexual gain?
If that's your argument then relationships should be illegal between two people with an age difference of more than 20+ years or so. You really think these peoples' relationship is more manipulative and abusive than the relationship between that little 21 year old guy and his 55 year old sugar daddy?
And even if these relationships are as abusive and manipulative as you claim (you don't know them so you really have no right to make that claim out of the blue either), they're both GROWN adults. They are perfectly capable of making their own decisions and if they decide they want to be in a relationship with each other then that's their business, and theirs alone. What is it to you? Seriously. No one has answered that question yet. HOW does this affect you and your freedom as a gay/straight/bisexual person?
The only reason I could see an incestuous relationship like this causing problems and drifting into territory where it should be banned is when it comes down to sex and child-bearing. THEN you're getting into issues regarding the child's physical and mental development, and THAT is what is unlawful. If your argument was that it's too hard to tell if they're having unprotected sex and bearing children, then I might agree with you on that. But even then, you still have to deal with the inner workings of policing two peoples' private relationships beyond the bounds of lawful privacy.
The simple existence of these relationships should not be
illegal and even moreso, they should not be something that gays of all people are rallying against with such vigor, in my opinion. This does not affect you at all. Let them do their thing and make their own decisions, no matter how gross or vile they may be.
All that said, does anyone wanna offer any legitimate reasons why a presumably non-sexual relationship between two consenting adults should be illegal, outside of "I think it's icky and wrong!"?
