I think this year's Grammys made it very obvious that Adele has ruined the music industry. Like, there's no denying it anymore. Every performance was so boring and everyone looked so basic. Being boring is considered to be exciting now. Doing the least is the norm currently. And it is harming the industry as the ratings for these award shows are going down.

She really changed the industry for the worst. Now all you have to do to be successful is write cliched songs about an ex-boyfriend and show off your "vocal talent!!111!" onstage without being remotely edgy or interesting. Be fully clothed and sing songs that sound like they're 45-years-old so we can pretend that we're back in the good ol' days when married couples slept in separate beds and wearing a mini-skirt was something that could only be seen in a Playboy shoot.

At least during the corporate manufacturing era of pop music, it was a lot more colorful and upbeat.

All of this. The fact that people like Ed Sheeran & Sam Smith, who look like bullied losers, were the main stars of the Grammys this year... It's really pathetic. Same with movie industry. How someone as basic as J.Lawrence is considered to be this amazing being... We need someone to shake up the industry again a la Britney in 1999 and Gaga in 2009.
