Last years was their highest rated Oscars in 15 years so ofcourse it was nearly impossible to top that. & Gaga performed during the last 20 minutes for a 3 hour program, so you can't even correlate in any shape or form to what Gaga had to do with them watching the whole event. Gaga's performance was the most tweeted about and made her the most searched. Her moment was made.

And the Oscars ratings are deserved. The show was a boring mess until the Glory performance and then the Godga performance (most talked about moment & artist of the night, hihi).
What's happening with Beyoncé? She can't seem to have energy to promote her mediocre-selling singles but she is in every damn after-party, fashion show, inauguration, birthday celebration, etc... with any celebrity lately.
It doesn't surprise me that she has Kim Kardashian's picture on her wall for inspiration and take pics with Paris and Nicki Hilton, since it appears that now she wants to become a full-time socialite. Music is just not that important anymore, I guess.
