Both are just pathetic Taylor sold out and mimicked everything Britney did during the turn of the current century more over Nicki made a overcharged parody of a hit song from the early 90's and wants to act like it was some sort of a cultural experience. The same people praising Nicki were the ones who were up in arms about Nelly's TipDrill video 10 some odd years ago. This is proof that today's entertainment is as amusing as a window looking toward a empty field of unanimated wilderness.
If you truly believe that the nature of Nicki's video is to blame for its snub, then why did Wrecking Ball, a video featuring a naked Miley Cyrus, not only receive a nomination for Video of the Year but also win the award altogether?
Well, I think 'Wrecking Ball' is a pretty good song, it's not a forgettable one and compared to Anaconda it's not that obscene (lyrically/video). And this is fanbase. People vote for it. And is everyone forgetting that Beyoncé is also nominated? Cause she's hot, sexy, and respected. Just like your "white women do" girls.
Nicki is an east-Asian appropriator that glorified Nazism and portrayed herself as a dictator that backtracked and blamed everyone but herself after getting called out. Even the Anti-Defamation League called her out (!!!) Not to mention all her songs trivializing suicide and OKing feature verses using homophobic slurs and rants on her songs. She is in no way innocent and her being black and facing struggle for it isn't an excuse and doesn't absolve her. She needs to stop playing the victim and her fans need to stop being hypocritical.
When white women do it... its treated differently. White women are rewarded for their sexuality and black women are constantly demonized for theirs.... One only has to look at how they treated Janet after the SB and Beyonce when she released Partition.

"Baby Got Back" is a phenomenon. Anaconda is not. And if you hadn't noticed, the only lyrics the world was singing last year were Sir Mix A Lot's. Nicki brought that song back for 2 minutes.
Ironically, the most hilarious thing to me is when nominations dropped I thought "Shake It Off" was the most snubbed, definitely not "Anaconda".
SIO got 0 nominations period. I really thought she'd tie Gaga as the only artist to get 2 nominations in Video of the Year, because Shake It Off, Blank Space, and Bad Blood videos were just so huge and bigger than basically any female videos the past year there'd be no denying they'd have to give her multiple noms in VOTY.
Like SIO didn't even get 1 nomination. That's more shocking and surprising then Anaconda not getting VOTY.
Read through every single one of them: The way how they tweeted, is more important than what they tweeted, I could NOT find anything wrong in Taylor's, this is a woman who single-handedly changed Apple's policy with one single post without anybody's help (When she was touring abroad and even her label didn't know before the post)

I think if this does become a bigger deal...then of course people will see through and Taylor will be the one applauded for effortlessly shading and also taking the high road...even if insincere.
Media will paint nicki with the brush of angry and entitled especially as she is nominated in other areas and they will bring up beyonce being nominated to make Nicki looked bothered.
Taylor will always win now had Taylor handled herself like Iggy does on twitter than Taylor would be facing backlash.

With 3/5 of the VOTY noms containing black artists, and considering the fact that Nicki has several VMAs of her own, including noms for OTHER categories, it is absolutely outrageous for her to insinuate that her snub has anything to do with race.
Any of you SJWs or Nicki stans who are defending her behaviour should be ashamed and embarrassed, because this behaviour is absolutely detrimental to the civil rights movement currently going on in the US. There are real problems with racism and discrimination in the US, and to even associate this scenario with the institutional issues of the US is ludicrous, insulting and telling of a generation that likes to throw out buzzwords just to seem educated.
It's ironic that some stans decry this as racist brainwashing on the part of the media, when in reality it almost seems as if the accusers themselves are brainwashed into a state of hypersensitivity and delusion. Wake up.
Jesus Christ. Nicki brought up racism AFTER her 'skinny girl' comment aimed at Taylor and even AFTER Taylor called her out for it. Taylor had every right to believe that passive-agressive BS was aimed at her considering she was the only other in that category that fit that description.
