Now, I like Katy but I'm not entirely sure she'll be up for this. She'll probably get backlash if she doesn't sing well. But knowing her label, they'll have lots of distractions and gimmicks (like Madonna did with the dancers and LMFAO) that'll help make the performance a success.
And, I'm not a pressed Gaga stan. I like Katy. And, in full honesty, I wouldn't want Gaga to perform this year. I'd rather she do it after she has another successful pop album (rather than another ARTPOP). Good luck Katy
