I can imagine the audience being like "WTF?!" when Starships started... Then Pound The Alarm. Then Whip It. Then Where Them Girls At. Then Turn Me On. (They were probably prepared for Super Bass though.)

I'm glad they're reaction was good. It's not like Nicki's pop songs are horrible either, she tweaks them to make her urban audience still feel able to bop to them.

she didn't perform WTGA.
she added Roman Reloaded though, so I think the hip hop out weighed the pop tonight.
huh? she performed pop songs at hip hop themed places?
TBH I think it's fine. Nicki's biggest songs are all pop tracks anyway, so the audience expect it.
The problem is some of the audience are hardcore hip-hop fans, and so they become vocal bitches when they see dancers and dance-pop, and Nicki singing, etc.
me too
maybe some of the audience will just leave instead of booing her
I'm sure she'll know what songs to perform at certain shows though.

You have to realize though, the urban community doesn't see it like that.
If it's not urban music it's usually ignored.
Unless the song is big on Urban radio, 90% of the time the urban community never heard it before.
