I'm worried about this era because I think the label is not really comitted with it.

First they set a strange release date, and then they let Iggy post a bunch of snippets of the single and album tracks and also give a lot of information about the whole project.

she didn't even ask the label for money to record this record so it doesn't really matter.

LOL don't be Def jam has always been VERY supportive of Iggy(post Fancy). Her team could be messy but the label has been to her.. even her "big flop" Trouble had promo. The fact she's getting a radio deal on Friday means they care and think the song has potential or they think it does and has promo planned for the song already(award shows, TV shows, radio). Don't worry about that if anything worry about how she'll be received by the GP not her label

I mean if they approved it and didn't force her to record with other producers they most likely think its good or has potential. You know how labels are and Iggy was their most profitable artist in 2014 they wouldn't let her be 100% risky.

You're right. They are really good in promotion.

But you have to admit it was really unprofessional of them setting that release date.

The reason why I think they're not caring about the project it's because of what you said.

Iggy spend her money on making the album. The least they can do for her, since they didn't even spend the budget on the music, is set a proper release date, on Friday. They wanted to release three days after that. Thank God she asked them to change it.

Well she just fully switch over to them as her main label I believe. She had just gotten her release from that UK label, so the release date mess can be because of that.
