This, but I got rejuvenated in2 the series with X/Y. However, w/ the watering down that has been happening to the series (flop plotline in X/Y, for example), not keen on the direction the franchise is headed. I have mixed feelings about the regressions it does (e.g. revisiting the States, having S/M as a "vacation" generation, reproducing Orientalist discourses..........) Eh

Need more Emeralds & Platinums w/ B/W creativity + G/S/C/R/B/Y narratives

How are we rating this? Gen 1 is obviously the worst since it is heavily outdated and incredibly difficult to play unless you have some nostalgia going for you (I do). But the first 151 Pokemon and Kanto itself are completely flawless and are easily my favourite batch of Pokemon and region and the remakes in Gen 3 and 4 highlight that.

Gen 5 is kinda the opposite. Lots of horribly designed Pokemon and a bland region but decent gameplay and it introduced some decent new game mechanics. But the graphics are still horrible tho, even for a DS game, so for that reason Gen 5 is the worst

Gen 3 and 4 are obviously the best and 2 and 6 fall somewhere in the middle

and 99% of the legendaries are abominations

Gen 5 has the best games, specially B&W 2. They were also the last difficult Pokemon games. And the Pokemon Tournament is the best thing they could have done apart from the flawless Battle Frontier.

And the designs are not that bad, they have AMAZING designs too. Gen 4's region feels like a non-event tbh. But Gen 1 is the worst overall.

Gen5 > Gen6 > Gen2 > Gen3 > Gen4 > Gen1.

I like the diversity in Gen 5, Bug and Ghost gained some strong pokes and there are some good typings. I was so put off by Diamond I only played it recently tho
