Go ahead queen. I'm glad she finally spoke out explicitly about the album blackmail. I'm almost certain she's referring to All I Ever Wanted. She clearly did My Life with Luke to please Clive. It was obviously a hit because the label pushed it and supported it. It remains one of my least favorite songs by her.

It's interesting because the label obviously did not support My December after she refused to work Luke on it. I can see Clive saying she had to work with him after My December.

I also like that she separated the issues. She's not commenting on the alleged rape but can speak to the character of Luke and shadiness of labels.

I'm sure this was about AIEW. Luke was brand new when she worked with him and she had no inkling of him. She's always sounded proud of Since U Been Gone and Behind These Hazel Eyes, and her, Luke and Max's fighting for the sound they wanted.

She's never particularly sounded proud of MLWSWY and you could tell there was an ounce of passion missing while she was promoting it. It's been speculated before that she had to do a lot of "compromising" on AIEW because of My December. She also really didn't seem happy with RCA that era, with the Already Gone situation and a few comments she made in her shows. The song "Ready" is about her frustration with them.

I'm glad she's at a point now where she doesn't have to deal with that BS anymore. She's been very happy the past 5 or so years with her professional relationships and work.

The fact that he sabotaged My December by trash talking it at a podium, at an important label conference in front of his peers and people that could have invested in it. The fact that RCA pulled Sober from radio. The fact that he called her a ****** writer and laughed at Because of You when she played it for him, mocked it, wouldn't let her put it on Thankful and she fought and fought to finally get it on Breakaway.....he said how he never had a problem with it and was always proud of it, which is not the truth. He also said that Kelly was hysterically crying about working with Max & Luke, and hated working with them, which isn't true at all. (He mentioned in his memoir that he told her they were the top producing team in the world and it would be good for her.....how is that true with Luke had never written/produced a hit yet, and Max hadn't had one in several years?)
