She liked the picture, but who knows what her intentions were? Maybe she wanted the girl to stop doing that to herself, it's like when someone who puts a sad status on Facebook and someone likes it in order to support the person, even if it's easy to misinterpret people don't always do these kind of things maliciously, don't be so quick to bash someone who suffered so much from these kind of disorders. She could've also been browsing the girl's pictures and accidentally liked the picture like some members have said.

They're not but they are panicking.

I'm pretty sure people are reading too much into it. Even if anything is up, it's not a big deal and has to be expected. She's will always have to deal with the same struggles, for the rest of her life.

Saying she did it for attention is ridiculous though, she knows how much of a backlash stuff like that gives her. Knowing Demi there's a 90% chance she liked it by accident or wanted to save it up for later conversations.
