Beyonce is far from consistent (commericial performance-wise), and Britney isn't anywhere near legend status either.
ok; now bye.
beyonce has had 6m albums from 1999 to 2008/ on 9 years she sold the same numbers approximatively:
(WOTW) 15m -10m - 10m - 7m - 6.5m - 7.7m (IASF)
even with 4 (2.9m) she stayed a social force during that era. the girl doest even need billboard to be revelant bye. that's what you call living legend.
I guess Beyonce has to die before y'all start with "I didn't like her older material but she was undeniably a legend, RIP"
But her older material were pretty strong. Her last album didn't live up to that unfortunately. To answer the question, she's very relevant right now but it doesn't make her a legend. We're gonna have to wait and see for the next 10 years.
Hive there is no reason to get up in arms, some people are just casually dismissing her like they have since 2003 and that won't change, we all know she's practically at the front step of Legendary status.
Her tours show it
her jump in starpower each era show it.
the sales this era have shown it.
There's nothing to argue with her non believers if they don't see it now they never will.
They're the same type of heathens that trashed and ridiculed Whitney and MJ all the up to their death- WELL, except maybe Bey isn't being "trashed" here but they are transparently in denial.
